Our Focus is On Jesus

Jesus is at the center of everything we do at Bermudian Church,  We serve, sing, teach, preach and pray in His name.

Our past, present, and future mean nothing if we don't remain focused on Jesus Christ.  Our purpose is to

make much of Jesus and His gospel message, and to grow to be more like Jesus.

Bermudian Church is a place where people live to serve Christ Jesus.  Who truly care about each other and our neighbors.

We laugh, work, play and eat together.  We pray together and we worship together.  We're large enough to make a

difference in our community and in the world, yet still small enough to feel like a warm, friendly, and close knit family.

He must become greater; I must become less.

John 3:30

  • Don Hubbell - Interim Lead Pastor   circleemail    circlefacebook   circleyoutube

Pastor Don grew up in rural Virginia and attended Bridgewater College & University.  He has since served the LORD and the Church of the Brethren for 37 plus years.  Don and his wife Vivian have been married for 43 years, have four children all grown and married, and have six wonderful grandchildren.  They have lived in York County for 30 years where Don has been a pastor until his retirement in 2017.  Don loves rock hounding, hunting, and travel.  And, of coarse loves spending time with family and in God's Word.  Don states that, "Our witness for Jesus is the most important thing we will ever do in our lives!"

As Interim Pastor, he hopes to be able to help lead the Bermudian Church congregational family through this time of transition, and encourage it's continued strong faith walk with Jesus Christ.

So then, my dear friends, stand firm and steady.  Keep busy always in your work for the Lord,

since you know that nothing that you do in the Lord's service is ever useless.

1 Corinthians 15:58

Who We Are

We desire to enable every person to experience the living Christ in transforming ways.   We place great emphasis on worship, on prayer, on service to others, on sacraments like communion and baptism and spiritual disciplines to be practiced individually and collectively.  We strive to grow and encourage one another by being connected in small groups, as well as being part of the larger faith community at Bermudian Church, and beyond.

What We Believe

Our faith is built on the belief that there is but one true God who is a personal God, who in love creates, sustains, and orders all.  That Jesus Christ is the Son of God who offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on the cross. Who ascended to Heaven where he is the only Mediator between God and people.  Who will return again to reign King of Kings of the Church and of all life.  That the Holy Spirit lives in every Christian and sustains The Church through the Gospel and comforts and empowers believers who seek to live by the Word of God; which is the Bible – the unique, full, and final authority on all matters of faith and practice.

We believe spiritual transformation happens when God stirs up the winds of change in people’s hearts, convicts them of sins, and emboldens them to act in faith.  That our salvation is a free gift from God – to all who are willing to accept it. And, that faithful following of Jesus Christ and obedience to the will of God guide the life-long journey of the struggling but joyful Christian.

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son,

and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.

Matthew 28:19-20
